This page is designed
to give the parents of my students a brief update of what is going on in class. Check here for dates on quizzes and exams, information on grades, and anything
else that seems important.
If, as a parent, you
have any suggestions of what I can include here to benefit you, please email me

Everybody |
 |
Needless to
say, this page is inactive during the summer break. |
 |
Clicking on
the course name will open a new window to the page specific to that
course. |
 |
I'll be
using Twitter next year for last minute updates, help, suggestions, etc.
Although I suspect students will get more out of it, parents are welcome
to follow @mrdeck_math. |

AP
Calculus |
For incoming
students....
 |
It's looking
like another good-sized group coming in next year, and I'm already looking
forward to it! |
 |
In case you
haven't heard, there is a review packet that is strongly encouraged prior
to coming into class on the first day. If you would like a copy,
here is the
letter sent home to the students. |
For outgoing
students....
 |
Thanks for a
great year! |
 |
In case you
haven't taken an AP course before, your scores will come in early-to-mid
July. If you think about it, let me know how it went! |

Honors
Calculus |
For incoming
students....
 |
I have heard
from several students that they are signed up for this class and are
excited about it... I am too, it turns out! |
 |
Unlike many
Honors courses at RHS, this one does NOT have any assignments to be
completed over the summer break. If anyone is looking to get a head
start, however, they can revisit their Precalculus tests and quizzes from
the 3rd Quarter - a proficiency in vocabulary and graphical analysis
really helps! |
For outgoing
students....
 |
Thanks for a
great year! I learned a lot teaching this particular calculus
course, and I truly appreciated all of your patience and end-of-year
feedback. |

Precalculus |
For incoming
students....
 |
I have
already been working hard to make this course even better next year.
Precalculus is notorious for being a bit of a challenge, but I think
together we can make that challenge a positive experience for everyone! |
 |
For the
record, there are NOT any assignments to be completed over the summer
break for this course. |
For outgoing
students....
 |
Thanks for a
great year! I can't tell you how much I really enjoyed teaching this
course this year, and I hope to see several of you in calculus next year! |
